Tonight we will examine more about branding … Why Build a Brand, Just Buy It! … Part 3 … Branding Made Easy! What is Branding?
Branding is a marketing strategy that involves creating a differentiated name and image — often using a logo and/or tag line in order to establish a presence in the consumer’s mind and attract and keep customers.
A ‘brand’ is not a thing, a product, a company or an organization. A brand does not exist in the physical world – it is a mental construct.
A brand can best be described as the sum total of all human experiences perceptions and feelings about a particular thing, product or organization.
A brand is the sum of all of the characteristics, both tangible and intangible, that make your organization, service, or product unique.

Brands are in the mind of the person, it is not something one can touch for marketing and branding.
What is the difference between marketing and branding?
Branding is not push, but pull. Branding is the expression of the essential truth or value of an organization, product, or service.
Branding is strategic. Marketing is tactical. Marketing may convince you to buy and the branding will determine if you will buy that particular product now and keep buying it. Keep in mind … Instead of a single big idea, a brand must have multiple, smaller ideas.
With the internet expanding … a whole new expanded approach to branding is available. Marketing and branding just got easier for business owners. Customers are now online looking to connect with the company with a memorable brand.
The internet allows for multiple streams or avenues to marketing or branding. Mobile Web, websites, SEO, web search, social media, blogs, online press releases, and video marketing are all methods used for online branding.
With the popularity of mobile comes a whole new world of branding opportunities. Mobile allows online branding to connect with mobile consumers quickly and seamlessly. Mobile puts brands in clear view of the consumer for branding opportunities.
Mobile marketing keeps it in front so they are pulled to the point of buying. Mobile consumers can remember the brand and are pulled to the point of buying.
The combination of mobile ads (marketing) and brand recognition (in the mind) results in brand loyalty. With mobile at the ready 24/7 #marketers, #advertisers and business owners have many tools to create this brand loyalty.
The first step to make this connection is the domain name. Consumers connect via the domain name. This domain has to be easy to remember.
This is where many online businesses often come up short of making the connection with customers and consumers.
Now with so many extensions, branding is made easy … not only can we brand using our given name, we can use a domain with the dot to market products and services. (as in Ewin.Party and not just Ewin and dot something) The Brand would be “Ewin.Party”.
The more difficult to remember, the more marketing needs to be done for online branding.

The most cost effective way to brand a business is to buy the brand! Buy the Brand and market it. Otherwise, there must be a lot of marketing to place the brand in the mind of the consumer or customer.
Keep in mind … Brands are in the mind of the person. It is not something one can touch. If it can not be remembered they can not buy. Now we can see why new startups use short easy to remember domains.
